Why Omega-3
Everywhere you turn, people are talking about Omega-3 fatty
acids. What's all the buzz about?
Omega-3 fatty acids are special fats that are as important to
your health and well-being as vitamins and minerals. One of their
main jobs is to keep your cell membranes fluid and flexible.* (Cell
membranes are like muscles - they need to be flexible to work
right.) And since every part of your body is made up of cells -
from the skin on your toes to the gray matter of your brain - every
part of your body needs Omega-3 fatty acids!* That's why reams of
research have shown that Omega-3s benefit the health of your brain,
heart, joints, skin, and more.*
Your Omega Resource
Recognizing the vital role Omega-3 fatty acids play in promoting
radiant health - and that different people have different needs and
preferences - NutraOrigin has developed an entire line of Omega-3
supplements. In fact, NutraOrigin was recently chosen by the
research organization Advanced Brain Monitoring for a clinical
study investigating the effects of omega-3 supplementation on
neuro-physiological performance during sleep deprivation. After
reviewing a large number of omega-3 fish oil supplements
commercially available, NutraOrigin's Omega-3 Fish Oil was chosen
due to its high EPA/DHA concentration, ultra-pure profile and
product stability (freshness).

Why Fish?
Fish oil is by far the most popular - and the most researched -
source of Omega-3 fatty acids. It provides these essential fats in
the form of EPA and DHA, the exact type the body uses. Because it
can be highly concentrated, fish oil is the easiest way to get high
dosages of EPA/DHA. And because there are so many fish oil
products, you've got lots of options in terms of dosage and
delivery (i.e. soft gels, liquids, and a game-changing product that
looks and tastes like a fruit shake!)
Fish oil:
- Is backed by the most research
- Provides Omega-3 in the body-ready form (EPA/DHA)
- Is the easiest way to get high dosages of EPA/DHA

Why Krill?
Krill are miniature crustaceans that live in the Antarctic
Ocean. Krill oil contains the same Omega-3 fatty acids as fish oil.
However, the EPA and DHA in krill oil are bound to phospholipids,
important structural components of cell membranes. As a result,
they appear to be significantly better absorbed than the EPA/DHA in
fish oil. In addition, krill oil naturally contains the antioxidant
astaxanthin, so it helps fight free radicals as well. And because
it's not from fish, it doesn't take like fish!
Krill oil:
- Provides Omega-3 in the body-ready form (EPA/DHA)
- May be significantly better absorbed than fish oil
- Contains the antioxidant astaxanthin

Why Flax?
Flax is one of the plant world's most concentrated sources of
Omega-3 fatty acids - making it the perfect option for vegetarians
and vegans. Because flax seed is a crop, its growing conditions can
be tightly controlled; therefore flax seed oil is available as
certified organic. Flax seed oil is also a great choice for pets,
because it supports healthy skin and a beautiful glossy coat. And
finally, flax seed oil is ideal for people who want a minimally
processed, whole food source of Omega-3s.
Flax oil:
- Is the perfect option for vegetarians and vegans
- Is available as certified organic
- Promotes healthy skin and a glossy coat in pets
